Billing Changes - May 1, 2016

Effective May 1, 2016, The Globe and Mail is changing its billing system from a monthly billing cycle to a four-week billing cycle. This change aligns with industry best practices and will affect subscribers in the following ways:

5 and 6-day print home delivery subscribers:

Please note the weekly subscription rate for print service remains unchanged. If you have a pre-paid subscription plan, the new billing structure will take effect when your current subscription is up for renewal on the first renewal date after May 1, 2016. Those who have activated Globe Unlimited, the all-access pass to globeandmail.com, will continue to receive it at no extra charge.

1, 2 and 3-day print home delivery subscribers:

Please note the weekly subscription rate for print service remains unchanged. If you have a pre-paid subscription plan, the new billing structure will take effect when your current subscription is up for renewal on the first renewal date after May 1, 2016.

For those that have activated Globe Unlimited, the all-access pass to globeandmail.com, the price of Globe Unlimited will be increasing from $1.38 per week to $1.49 per week, before applicable taxes. This means your rate will go from $5.99 before tax per month, to $5.96 before tax every 4 weeks, on the first renewal date after May 1, 2016.

New York Times print home delivery subscribers:

Please note the weekly subscription rate for print service remains unchanged. If you have a pre-paid subscription plan, the new billing structure will take effect when your current subscription is up for renewal on the first renewal date after May 1, 2016.

Globe Unlimited:

The price of your Globe Unlimited subscription will increase from $5.54 per week to $5.99 per week, before applicable taxes. This means your rate will go from $23.99 before tax per month, to $23.96 before tax every 4 weeks, on the first renewal date after May 1, 2016. For those on a promotional discount, the rate will be price protected until after the promotion period has ended.

Globe2Go:

Subscribers receiving our e-edition will not be affected by the billing system change at this time. Your monthly rate and billing frequency remain unchanged at this time

GlobeInvestorGOLD:

Subscribers receiving our GlobeInvestorGOLD product will not be affected by the billing system change at this time. Your monthly rate and billing frequency remain unchanged at this time
